Remote GPS Shipment Tracking

Solar-Powered GPS Asset Tracking: STLU
Portman's patented, self-contained, zero-power-consumption GPS monitoring device is designed to sit unobtrusively atop your trailer, rail car or remote outbuilding.
These weatherproof, independently powered units provide reliable GPS asset tracking and monitoring, reporting not only location, but time-stamped temperature changes, door access, or evidence of tampering.
The solar-powered GPS asset tracking STLU houses its own motion sensors and GPS & GSM antenna, and continues to operate for up to a month without sunlight. The STLU can also automatically switch over to the Iridium Satellite Network to continue reporting data in remote locations where there is no GSM coverage.
Long-Haul GPS Asset Tracking: GST8000
Ideal for long-haul GPS shipment tracking, Portman's GST8000 asset tracking unit features a direct IP connection, SiRF III for the most accurate positioning data, and tri-communication ability through SMS, GPRS and SBD (Iridium's 'Short Burst Data' protocol).
Ruggedly built to perform in extreme conditions, Portman's GST8000 asset tracking device automatically switches from GSM to the Iridium Satellite Network in the event of loss of cellular coverage, ensuring no loss of tracking information. Optional sensors and multiple additional inputs provide specialized data for more complete GPS shipment tracking.
